SHOP MANAGER, FROM THE WELL
From the Well is a neighborhood bakery, coffee, wine, and curated shop in Roswell, Georgia, rooted in craftsmanship, seasonality, and thoughtful sourcing. Designed around everyday ritual and discovery, the space brings together naturally leavened bread, specialty coffee, considered wine, and a curated selection of goods. We are looking for a Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the space while helping shape how it is experienced. This role goes beyond traditional management, blending hospitality, retail, and curation. The right person will care as much about how something feels as how it functions.
The Shop Manager is responsible for leading daily service, supporting and developing the team, and ensuring the shop consistently reflects the standard and spirit of From The Well.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is both operationally strong and creatively attuned. You will be responsible not only for how the shop runs, but for how the full experience is held and communicated, from bread and coffee to wine and retail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Shop Leadership & Daily Operations
Lead day-to-day operations of the bakery, coffee, wine, and retail shop
Maintain a consistent, high standard of hospitality and guest experience
Oversee opening and closing routines, daily flow, and service execution
Ensure the space is clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards
Team Leadership & Development
Hire, train, and develop front-of-house team members
Set the tone for culture, communication, and accountability
Create and manage staff schedules
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support
Product, Merchandising & Curation
Oversee daily product availability and presentation across bread, coffee, wine, and retail
Ensure the team can thoughtfully speak to offerings, including sourcing, process, and story
Work closely with the production team to align on inventory and shop needs
Lead merchandising, restocking, and seasonal transitions
Contribute to the ongoing curation of goods in the shop, with an eye for quality, cohesion, and storytelling
Ensure the space feels considered, layered, and reflective of the brand at all times
Guest Experience & Hospitality
Model a hospitality style that is attentive, composed, and knowledge-driven
Guide the team in engaging guests beyond transactions, helping them understand what they are experiencing and taking home
Ensure the experience reflects the depth of the program, including bread, coffee, wine, and small-batch goods
Systems & Performance
Track sales, labor, and key operational metrics
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and overall experience
Support the development of systems as the business grows
Communicate regularly with ownership on performance, needs, and opportunities

EXPERIENCE
2–5+ years in a leadership role within hospitality, retail, or food and beverage
Experience managing teams and daily operations
A strong visual or merchandising sensibility is a plus
Familiarity with bakery, coffee, or wine environments is helpful, but not required.
COMPENSATION & WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US
Salary Range: $50,000 – $58,000 annually, depending on experience
